Noboa Honors U.S. Official and Strengthens Bilateral Cooperation
Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa presented an official award to U.S. official Kristi Noem during a formal ceremony held in Quito.
The distinction, corresponding to the National Order of Merit in the rank of Grand Cross, was awarded in recognition of her contribution to strengthening relations between Ecuador and the United States, as well as promoting joint initiatives in the areas of security and institutional cooperation.
During the ceremony, the president highlighted the importance of consolidating strategic alliances with international partners, emphasizing that such recognitions reflect the country’s commitment to coordinated efforts in the face of common challenges.
For her part, Noem expressed gratitude for the distinction and underscored her country’s interest in continuing to deepen ties with Ecuador, particularly in areas critical to regional development and stability.
